About Me

My photo
Kate Louise Wood
Edenton, NC, United States
I was born in Washington, North Carolina and received my BS in Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Having spent my life on the coasts of North Carolina and Virginia, I grew up with the ever present beauty of the sea and the sense of history permeating my environment. As a life-long learner and wearer of multiple hats, I have worked as a teacher, social worker, television re-enactment actress, nationally certified massage therapist, and writer, and am an award-winning photographic artist. My middle-grade supernatural mystery, Zephyr Stone and the Moon Mist Ghost, was published by Blue Ink Press in April, 2021. The second in the series is planned for release in 2023. I live in the lovely, historic town of Edenton, NC with my husband/soul-mate, William Ahearn. We share our quirky, little turn-of-the-20th century cottage with our Shih-Tzu, Minna, our Portuguese Podengo Pequeno, Sophie, and the memories of loved ones with whom we have shared our lives, here.
